A Plethora of Pretties

So as I was browsing the world wide web, instead of doing work yesterday. Shocker right? But, I came across a page I would not normally click on.

Hardware!

If you have never thought to look at the hardware on Anthropologie you have been missing out! You wouldn't think it would be quite as extensive as it is. I guess it's not one of those things where you go "hey lets look for some hardware today!" But I can say this, if you are planning on redo-ing your furniture or just trying to give your bathroom or kitchen cabinets a lift, these would do it for you! Each one is just so lovely, so intricate, so ornate and just surprising in so many ways. They are tiny little joys on your drawers. It is making me thing of ways I can use them just so I can buy some!

Oh and do any of you gals get the feeling that if some of these were shoe clips that would be totally awesome!? I do, I would have the same, but different shoes for every day of the month!

So, do you have any ideas for these? Let me know. I would love to find some ways to incorporate these into my decor without just changing all the hardware on everything. They are just so lovely! I can't stop thinking about all the possibilities!

Is He Crazy?!?

So this is pretty much awesome, although insanely crazy. So this guy Chris Held decided that it would be totally awesome to mirror those aesthetics evident in a persian rug. Ok that is a lot of hard work, but still pretty awesome. But here is the catch he decided to do this on a dry erase board. Thats right smelly markers and a felt eraser dry erase board. Just one question...

Who does that??

Yeah I thought it was insane too. He decided to make this interactive art piece from a shipping pallet. Co created with Andrew Vomhof, this is truly impressive.

Yeah really, really crazy. But if you think about it, it really puts a certain perspective on the things we do as artist. I mean who is to say that everything that we create is going to stand as we create it. What we construct is deconstruct-able just like everything else in this world. Nothing is definite. It is such a huge sense of self for someone to create and then willingly destroy. I know as a designer, I could never do that I get way to attached to my work.

How do you feel about it? Could you stand to give it up? Or could you willingly erase it all to start a new?

Want

May I please have this? It looks so comfy and snugly worthy. Just think a warm cup of tea, a blanket, a Harry Potter book and a fatcat on your lap. Heaven! Haha, except it's a lovely 77 outside and this is a winter activity.

Aubin & Wills

I recently stumbled over this wonderful clothing company! Those in the UK are probably looking at me like, "um duh!" But I just found it so let me have my moment!

These great outfits are some of my favorites from their Summer Styling. I highly suggest checking out their website, it is so clever. And, I LOVE their little fox logo! So quirky!

May I present Aubin & Wills...

Just lovely. I really do enjoy the textures and mix-up of patterns in these ensembles. And the shoes! Need I mention the awesomeness of the shoes! I wish I were so talented myself. I am awful when it comes to matching things that don't match. Oxymoronic I know, but I love this style! I just so wish I was better at it. Oh and by the way, how awesome is that dress! I feel that as a graphic designer I need that in my wardrobe to express who I really am, haha! So clever. Please go check out this website, oh and they have some awesome stuff for guys too! I just signed up to receive their "almanac" so hopefully that means some lovelies in the mail soon!
