Type and Code

One good Etsy find leads to another. Remember yesterday's post? Well, Etsy has this wonderful little thing where you can share your favorites, and when you peek at other peoples favorite things you can really navigate around the Etsy world. This post is hands down credited to the finds of  TheCraftPantry.

bexpert is a wonderful print shop! They got me hook line and sinker, all because of these lovelies.

Now, you know I cannot pass up a nautical print of any kind. And these are even better than anything else I have ever found! I especially adore how the meanings of the flags are added into the design. I think it's fitting, don't you? (Notice the J and the L, haha!) bexpert has three collections of code flags. I have shown you the Bus Roll collection, but he offers a Vintage collection and a Children's collection as well. Whatever fits your fancy! I am partial to the strong grid structure of this collection, it is just so stark and I love it!

Groups of these would look awesome on a wall. Just think of all the possibilities! An office, a child's room, above a fireplace, there are just so many things you could spell. Clearly I am on board with the grouping of images, but maybe you are the less is more type and just want one letter. Who knows?

So what do you guys think? Are they awesome? Or have I overplayed the nautical thing already?

Brown Paper Bag

Well, that is what Kraft paper reminds me of. Lately I have just had a thing for the stuff. I want to look at it, print on it, and just have it in my hands. Not only does it give you that "eco-friendly" vibe, but it helps give dimension to what would normally be printed on white stock. Which are all reasons why the stuff is perfect in my mind right now.

This Kraft paper on a pedestal standpoint is not helped at all by Etsy seller, TheCraftPantry. Their monochrome cards are absolutely killing me! They are super classy. Simple craft paper and a very simple but detailed monochrome image impeccably printed on top. I want a collection for myself! But I might frame them, and that defeats the purpose of someone being surprised by these lovelies in the mail.

No really, thank you for such amazing work! Sorry, I had to. Ha! I am really impressed with the vintage camera set, classic. And how much do you love that dog at the top? I really can't get over these.

I recommend checking out TheCraftPantry. Not only do they have even more of these note cards but they have some pretty awesome totes. They are along the very same lines as these cards; recycled materials, monochromatic designs. I might have to get one with that cute little dog!

Someone needs to get me some Kraft paper, stat!

Have any of you guys printed on this before? Or found a decent retailer for some? Let me know! Send me some info people!

Smart and Chic

I eyed these Kate Spade clutches a while back, but after coming upon them again today I knew I needed to share.

What a conversation piece one of these would be! And to top it off, they look good. Really good. I would carry one in a heartbeat (anyone feeling generous enough to provide me with one?).

These are all part of Kate Spade's Book of the Month Clutch collection. Personally, I love anything that includes classy typography and if I can wear it or carry it, that makes it even better!

One of these might have to be added to the Christmas list (and yes Babe, they are that much!). I know, I am dreaming, but where would we be without dreams? They are just so pretty.

Double Take

Finally! Five minutes to pay attention to my blog. It upsets me that I have been neglecting my duties to the blogosphere. Stupid 9-5! I hate having responsibilities. By nonetheless, lets get into my thoughts for the day.

Quite a while ago I stumbled over the website of Coralie Bickford-Smith. If you aren't familiar with her, she is the designer of some super lovely Penguin book covers! I would die to have a set of these books. They are too beautiful!

But earlier today I was looking for the perfect set of fall boots (which takes forever, by the way). So I checked sort of a secret here in good old Lynchburg, Virginia; Must Have Shoes. Yes, we have a clearance store for Poetic License and Irregular Choice shoes, be jealous! They are manufactured here.

And through all that searching and remembering, this is what I came up with to show you today!

They compliment perfectly, no? I think both items are quite perfect actually, and I would kill to have either in my possession. The compliment was just too perfect not to share.

P.S. See, I seriously meant five minutes. So terrible, I know. I will try to prepare for the rest of the week tonight, after I finish my overtime hours. Stay with me! I swear I am not giving up on this blog!

Hand Lettered and Letterpressed

What better combination could you ever even try to imagine? Yeah I couldn't come up with one either. I cannot get over these gorgeous invitations I found on Paper Crave this morning.

These are the wedding invitations of Los Angeles graphic designer Satsuki Shibuya (who recently launched Zakka Nouveau a graphic and product design studio). Pretty impressive. For more details about the concept and for more photos, visit the original post over at Paper Crave.

And the colors? I don't care if you are a guy, pink has never looked so grown-up and classic.

P.S. Sorry about the light posting the past couple of days. My 9-5 has been pretty hectic and I haven't had the down time I normally do. Oh what we all suffice for a paycheck. I am not giving up on the blogging world, I swear! I am just super busy!
