The Total Mother Load

I am having such a hard time right now. I found the most incredible Etsy shop ever! Yes, I realize this is a bold statement but it is so true! In fact, I am having a super hard time deciding what it is I want to post. There are just too many goodies.

But more to the point. You NEED to go visit this Etsy shop. Yes by that I mean stop what you are doing this instant and go to this shop. Your life will never be the same again. It is pure graphic design mayhem, and I know you want some of that.

Without further ado, I give you my favorite items from the plethora of goodies at Yee Haw, a letterpress shop from Knoxville, Tennessee.

See what I mean? There is just so much, and yes these are all from one shop. And, I didn't even show you their apparel listings or their line of journals

It is literally too much to handle. I will be returning to this shop on a regular basis, no questions asked.

I seriously want some of their card sets. How great would they be to have on hand?

Friday Kitsch

What a find for today! Seriously, these made my morning and I have no doubt you will fully enjoy them too.

Wit & Whistle is my new favorite stationery shop. From this point forward this is where I am going for all greeting cards. They are just too original, and well designed might I add.

I just love them! And I am also swooning over the photography skills here. Some Etsy shops have it and some don't and this one pulls it off magnificently. I always find that well photographed shops hold my interest so much more, don't you? Major props!

Wit & Whistle also runs a blog, which is pretty snazzy. I am adding it to Bloglovin as we speak. What can I say, I am impressed. I told you this was a good find! And might I add I am totally jealous of this chick, she is pulling off the lifestyle I can only imagine having; the blog, the stationery, the career you enjoy waking up to everyday. Yeah, I have a large green monster on my back here. I guess situations like these let me know it's possible, and I need that to get through the day sometimes.

I really hope these super fun cards jump start your weekend. I know I am completely ready for mine to get here already (more on that next week).

P.S. The Hub's and I are taking a mini-getaway weekend, we need some romantic time. So, that means I may or may not be around these parts on Monday (it all depends on if I am sanctioned to leave the MacBook home or not!) Just stay with me, I will for sure be back on Tuesday.

Hand Lettered and Letterpressed

What better combination could you ever even try to imagine? Yeah I couldn't come up with one either. I cannot get over these gorgeous invitations I found on Paper Crave this morning.

These are the wedding invitations of Los Angeles graphic designer Satsuki Shibuya (who recently launched Zakka Nouveau a graphic and product design studio). Pretty impressive. For more details about the concept and for more photos, visit the original post over at Paper Crave.

And the colors? I don't care if you are a guy, pink has never looked so grown-up and classic.

P.S. Sorry about the light posting the past couple of days. My 9-5 has been pretty hectic and I haven't had the down time I normally do. Oh what we all suffice for a paycheck. I am not giving up on the blogging world, I swear! I am just super busy!

Hand Drawn Merriment

If you love hand drawn text, or not so traditional calligraphy you need to check out this site! Gracie Finn's website is incredible. I think I could spend all day here.

Personalize It

I will admit, I have not been on my Etsy game lately. I have really been trying to get back to my roots and show you a lot of graphic design. The only problem is its not really working. Laying down the law to only hit one subject is not only boring, its not very much fun. I see it, it inspires me, it goes up on the blog. Those are my blogging rules, no more crazy structured posting rules.

With that said, lets get back to Etsy and all the cool stuff it has to offer. Today it has to offer some pretty fine personal stationery. Everyone should have some of this. The art of letter writing has literally been lost within our electronic culture. Boring. Get some stamps and go hog wild!

Naomilynn is a graphic designer from Iowa with an extreme love for paper. Her creative outlet is designing stationery, and it's a good thing because she is pretty darn good at it!

I find it a little refreshing that these are not letterpressed. I love letterpress don't get me wrong, but the average paper lover just can't always do letterpress. There is nothing wrong with some awesome paper, simple but strong design, some bright colors and some good old digital printing!

These would be great for Christmas! If you have one of those friends you have no clue what to get, some personalized stationery would be just the ticket. And they are especially reasonably priced. I especially love those calling cards, they are too cute!

Back to Basics

As you may or may not know, the entire purpose of this blog is to catalog my own personal inspirations, a look book of sorts. Now I post tons of self-inspiring stuff, but I often neglect what I actually need this place for in the process. I like to share, so I share everything and sometimes I don't get down to the point. Well today is about getting down to the point.

Last night in an attempt to get some Nimble work accomplished (more on the spectacle that is Nimble in the near future, it's big things people!) I found myself not only brutally sick, but stumped. I think I have put too much pressure on myself to produce, and I have not been feeding my brain with the proper design nourishment. I need to go back to one simple rule, KISS aka; keep it simple stupid.

Dude and Chick, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota does just that. They keep it simple, and they make it blunt. And together it makes for all around great design, amazing letterpress and a good solid chuckle.

Pretty awesome right? And don't you love the subtle but effective detail that letterpress can provide. It really makes for a knee slapper! Ha! I now know where I will be shopping for the next birthday card I need, because who wouldn't want one of these? It is such a nice break from the box store junk. I seriously cannot wait to check back for a roundup of holiday cards. Oh, just image the amazing blog posts!

P.S. I am still sick, it is worse than yesterday. I wish I was at home in my comfy bed, but instead I am at work. It's quite possibly the worst situation ever. I will stick to the Tazo Chai and honey and hope for the best.

P.S.S. Drink your Airborne people and hype up the vitamin C, you do NOT want this!
