Just Temporary

While I don't have much of my own Twitter following, I do happen to participate in following some of the great bloggers of our generation (sounds official, huh?!). About a week ago Jessica Hische tweeted a link that is an absolute gem!

May I introduce you to Tattly.

And the greatest part, all of these are temporary!! So that means I can actually drum up the courage to get one! I must say it is refreshing to see some design-related tattoos that aren't ampersands. Don't get me wrong, I love a good ampersand but there are more icons to what we do.

At two for five bucks, this is going on my more immediate lust list. Too cool!!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

No. Not Christmas.

Project Runway!!

My favorite, most favorite show in the entire Universe started this past Thursday night. And I am not afraid to admit, I live tweeted the whole thing (@jhyphenl)!

So lets recap, shall we?

To start, lets go with my favorite designer so far. I know it's too soon to really tell, but this guy takes the lead in my mind. I will admit, not my favorite outfit of the night, but from what I saw on the pre-show, I'm into it.

Anthony Ryan

This was my favorite look of the night. It's pretty amazing considering they used pj's and a bed sheet. I have mad fantasies about having dresses like these fill my closet.

Viktor Luna

I thought this look came together, but I am really not into the fact that this chick cannot sew. If there is one thing I learned in college it is that you are nothing without a knowledge of fundamentals. I have a feeling the camera is going to love the drama around her, but she will be short lived. On a more positive note, she has style.

Anya Ayoung

This look was crazy chic. I have got to give this guy some props. He knows how to style, it made this look.

This dress was cute. I am not thrilled he won the challenge, the man has a background in fashion! His entire existence makes me miss Peach. He just can't compare.

Didn't love the jacket here, but that skirt is to die for!

I loved this dress! But that puking clown made me lose faith in this girl. Humor should not cloud your design sensibility. I feel like they should have called her out on it.

And now for the worst. I fully agreed with who got sent home, but this guy does not get let off the hook. I know the challenge was limiting, but based on what his peers put out there are no excuses. This was terrible!! Sweats with heels? Seriously?!?

If you don't watch this show, I recommend it! Highly! It really is a feast for the eyes and the design mind. Design is design no matter the medium, which is why I find it completely inspiring.

Let me know what you thought of this weeks episode! I'll be back on Twitter Thursday night, more than likely putting my two cents in.

Pixie

Emma Watson. She has come a long way since her Potter days.

The pixie has got to be one of the smartest moves she has ever made. Could she look any chicer? I particularly love it when they style her in menswear.

I wish I had the guts to go for this look. I need to just go in and do it one day, before I have time to consider it.

Would you go for it?

A Trip To The Mall...

never proves to be a good thing!

I ventured into Crate and Barrel, bad idea. I found amazing things for an apartment I don't even have yet! Oh the woes of relocation.

Well, for when the Hubs and I do find the perfect place I want this couch:
It is quite possibly the most comfortable couch I have ever had the pleasure of sinking into. And it come with a chair and a half! With an ottoman! Can you say makeshift chaise lounge for two? I can. It would be totally perfect for movie watching. I only have one issue, it only comes in that child-friendly denim fabric. Ick. I prefer a chicer finish. I guess style is the price you pay for comfort. What a bummer.

On a side note, I found this:
We aren't in the market for a new bed, but when we are this is it. A modern canopy bed, in black! It could not be more "our" style. And yes, on this one we would actually agree. And, I couldn't possibly buy this bed without the completely awesome ottoman at the foot of the bed. Perfect.

What can I say, I dream big. Really big. It may be out of reach now, but I don't let up.

When I Grow Up

...I don't want to settle for less. Ever.

I know how ridiculous I seem to be sometimes, but the bottom line is my life should not be less than what I think I deserve. And I am not up for settling.

This early-twenties thing is overrated. Does anyone else ever get that feeling?

Life is tough, and I am taking it one day at a time with specific goals in mind. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Here is to never settling. Despite the odds.
